Paint in rural Ireland along the rugged landscape of North Mayo. Ballinglen is situated 3 miles to Downpatrick Head and 5 to Céide Fields. Work in ideal studios and have access to facilities which include the Dolan/Maxwell library, over 850 works of contemporary art, the Ballinglen Gallery, The Ballinglen Museum of Art which can be used for lectures, critiques and projection of work and film. All classes are led by internationally recognised Ballinglen Fellows who know the area intimately and take you to the best places to work plein air and explore the beauty of this mythical country. Return to your workspace and capture the experience on canvas or paper with guidance. We invite you to leave your everyday behind and immerse yourself in an enriching, creative experience in this beautiful place and learn a new technique to expand your practise. Our reputation is renowned as artists have been coming here for over 20 years. Classes and Workshops available include tuition, food, accommodation with private bedroom. The Ballinglen Arts Foundation is a registered Irish Charity and is not-for-profit. It provides studios and accommodation for artists and gratefully accepts donations through it's website www.ballinglenartsfoundation.org
